The legendary O’Sullivan misses this year’s Masters

English snooker player Ronnie O’Sullivan will miss this year’s Masters for health reasons, the BBC reports.

The defending champion was supposed to meet John Higgins in the first round on Sunday.

Instead of O’Sullivan, the Australian Neil Robertson received an invitation to participate in the tournament.

O’Sullivan, one of the greatest snooker players of all time, won eight Masters titles – the first as a 19-year-old in 1995.

In his professional career, which began in 1992, O’Sullivan won 41 titles and seven world championship cups.
