the length of the film worries fans

If certain MCU films, like Avengers : Endgame or Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3require you to go to the toilet before the start of the session, others are surprisingly short. This is the case of Captain America 4in theaters on February 12, the duration of which has just been revealed.

In less than a month, fans of Captain America will discover the character of Sam Wilson in the costume at the cinema of the famous superhero. Steve Rogers’ best friend will make his big screen debut as America’s beloved vigilante in Brave New Worldwhere he will face the terrible Red Hulk. Unlike his predecessor, his move to the cinema will be as short as it is intense. While the three films in the franchise last between 2 hours 4 minutes (First Avenger) and 2 hours 27 minutes (Civil War), this sequence has a duration of 1 hour 58 minutes. It is therefore the shortest opus of the franchise: surprising information, the Captain America having tended to lengthen rather than shorten over the years.

A worrying duration?

Without wanting to play the bird of ill omen, this duration is worryingly close to that of The Marvelswhose 1 hour 45 minutes on the clock had worried the fans – rightly so, the film having flopped at the box office after receiving poor reviews. Although in fact, a film with compact action, which does not get lost in unnecessary details, is preferable to a film that is too long and without rhythm, as far as the MCU is concerned, the longer it is, the more it is good… Good action sequences take timeand most of Marvel Studios’ recent opuses were devoid of confrontations worthy of the name. Despite its duration, we hope that Brave New World will not fail to offer some good fights to its audience -without it being to the detriment of the plot, of course.
