The presentations of the books The great replacementd’Albert Pijuan, i The contract Cruyff, Carabén, Catalonia, by Ramon M. Piqué, will open the literary fire of 2025 at the Francesc Pujols Library. The equipment will give continuity this January to Dr. Álvaro Guallar’s ‘Connection with change’ sessions, to the Cinexic cycle for children, to trips to Barcelona to talk about history and to ‘Babies in the Library’. A talk to learn how to compare information will be the icing on the cake of the fun and cultural proposals.

Canals considers that it is a topic that can be very interesting, because it approaches “very real issues, and puts on the table why there are young people who make these decisions and how social networks influence us”. Javier Gil will present the author and the work.

On Thursday 30 (6:30 p.m.), the communicator and publicist from Lleida Ramon M. Piqué brings his new book to Martorell, The contract Cruyff, Carabén, Catalonia. An essay “that can be of great interest to all people who like football and who belong to Barça”, and which explains the signing of a figure who marked an era and a country. “The history of friendship between the Carabén and the Cruyffs made possible an impossible signing that would forever change Barça, and in turn, Catalonia.” Journalist Humbert Ruiz will make the presentation.

As for children’s cinema, the Cinexic will screen on Saturday 11 (11.30am) Zog, dragons and heroinesrecommended for children from 3 years. Zog is a dragon who goes to school to learn how to fly, breathe fire and kidnap princesses. On Thursday 23, from 11.45 a.m. to 1.15 p.m., the talk ‘Learn to check information’ will be held, a workshop for adults taught by young people, to learn the keys to verifying fake news, by Learn to Check in collaboration with the Provincial Council of Barcelona and the European Commission. There are 35 places available.
‘Nadons a la Biblio’ offers a children’s aromatherapy and reflexology workshop with Montse Albiol Rodergas, ASSIR Martorell midwife, on Monday 27 at 5.30pm. Children’s foot reflexology is a natural therapy with no side effects that improves the functioning of the body’s different organs and, by adding some essential oil, enhances its therapeutic effect. 30 places will be admitted, including babies and adults.
The facility will offer the Study Room service -between January 2 and February 9-, from Monday to Sunday in the mornings (from 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.) and in the afternoons from 4.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. Exceptionally, on the 5th it will be open until 8pm and on the 6th it will be closed.
