The loading bed of this Volkswagen pick-up is a huge balcony

In India, the representative of the Volkswagen Group brands, encouraged by the Indian government, put a group of students to work on the Volkswagen Taigun. They were allowed to unleash their creativity and the end result was proudly presented this week. From the front, the Indian version of the T-Cross is still clearly recognizable as such, but from the back it is a completely different story. In order to make a pick-up of the Taigun, the students took part of the back of a Volkswagen Virtus and glued it to the Taigun in a special way. The wheelbase of the Taigun has not been tampered with and that is why the whole thing looks particularly awkward. The loading platform hangs behind the car like a kind of enormous balcony. We do not know when we last (or ever) saw such an enormous amount of overhang on a car. Of course, there are no production plans and that is probably for the best. “Okay guys, how about you stand in front of that back a bit.”
