The machine industry MDC Max Daetwyler Eesti, which previously produced for the automotive industry, found new growth in the shipping industry, company manager Kaili Vohnje said at the Business Plan conference.
“There are companies that are doing very well, which are actually already growing, and there are companies that are not doing so well. It completely depends on where it is produced, what is produced,” said Vohnje.
In the interview, Vohnje explained in more detail how Daetwyler, a member of the Swiss group, has adapted to the difficult conditions in Estonia and what is currently holding back the recovery of the machine industry. There was also talk about the country’s first steps in paying attention to industry and the country’s tax increases and cuts.
