The Magnit retail chain will launch a franchise for the first time

This will be a reverse franchise format, which provides for the transfer of rights to the franchisee to use the brand and business model of the retailer. There are no additional fees, and the partner invests only in the construction of the store.

Opening one store will require investments of 2.5 million rubles, the retailer says that there will be no strict requirements for the size of the premises – the retail space can be from 50 to 1 thousand square meters. You can become a franchisee if you are the owner or long-term tenant of retail real estate – not only independent entrepreneurs, but also regional retail chains can do this.

Speaking about the payback period, Magnit notes that it will be approximately 18 months. It is planned to open about a thousand such stores, they will be completely similar to its own retail outlets in terms of product offering, pricing and marketing policies, as well as external design.

A similar format is already used by the Dixy chain. It began working in this direction a year ago. The same direction is in X5 Group, which owns the Pyaterochka chain. The new direction of work will allow Magnit to increase the pace of expansion and enter regions where the chain does not yet exist.

Earlier, we wrote that Russian food producers sent letters to retailers about increasing purchase prices by 5-40%. This could happen as early as August-September.
