The main bus station in Belgrade is moving at the end of September: Everything about the new station complex

The Belgrade bus station, after more than half a century of operation, is moving to a new location in Block 42 in New Belgrade, as of September 29. According to official information, the entire relocation process has been carefully planned to ensure a smooth and problem-free transition for passengers.

The new station is located in a strategically important place, near the highway, the Novi Beograd railway station and in the immediate vicinity of the city transport lines that lead to the Nikola Tesla Airport, according to the Public Enterprise Belgrade Bus Station.

Instead of the former unhygienic settlement, now there is a modern plateau with 65 platforms and 186 parking spacesalong with new roads that allow easy access from all parts of the city, Tanjug reported.

The station platform is organized with 12 arrival and 53 departure platforms, some of which are intended for suburban, intercity, international traffic, and some for tourist traffic.

Within the station, there are parking lots for 80 buses and 186 passenger vehicles, and there is taxi rank with 25 cities.

The new station building, which is still under construction, will cover 27,000 square meters and will provide passengers with a modern space with numerous facilities, such as restaurants, cafes and banking services. Until the work on the main building is completed, passengers will use a temporary facility of about 1,200 square meters – an annex connected to the station platform.

The bus station will be easily accessible to citizens and can be reached by tram, bus and BG train, which will allow a quick and easy connection to different parts of the city.
