Arrested on September 15 after being put on the run by Secret Service agents who had spotted him with a weapon near the Republican candidate’s golf course in Florida, he had left a box containing a letter at the home of an acquaintance several months ago. “This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I’m sorry I failed in my duty”writes the 58-year-old man, without specifying whether the attempt mentioned in the letter is the one that failed on September 15 or refers to an earlier project.
“It is now up to you to finish the job and I will offer $150,000 to whoever completes it.”the man added in the document, apparently blaming Trump for causing chaos in the Middle East by sabotaging the international agreement with Iran on its nuclear program in 2018. The box also contained ammunition, a metal pipe and four telephones, according to the same source. Ryan Routh is not new to threats. In a book published in February 2023 on the war in Ukraine, Ryan Routh also mentioned a project “to assassinate Trump”they added.
