Then she talked about how marketing strategies in tourism are adapted to changes in consumer behavior.

– Consumer behavior in tourism is subject to change due to numerous factors such as technological development, socio-economic circumstances and global trends. Today’s modern consumers are more informed, demanding and environmentally conscious. In order to adapt marketing strategies to these changes, tourism companies should digitize communication, which means relying more on social networks, email marketing, personalized online offers, because most travelers use the Internet as a primary tool for research and travel booking – said Filipčev. at the beginning of the presentation.

According to her, it is also necessary to personalize the offer.

– Consumers are looking for unique, personalized experiences, so using analytics to create offers that match individual preferences is key. There are also personalized recommendations, which are becoming more frequent based on previous trips or interests. Then environmental responsibility, because more and more travelers are choosing destinations and companies that take into account sustainability and social responsibility, which requires marketing to be focused on green initiatives and environmentally friendly practices. Authenticity and local experience should also be mentioned. Therefore, consumers today are looking for authentic experiences, related to the culture and tradition of the destination. Marketing focuses more and more on showing the local community and customs, which enables a deeper connection with the destination – Filipčev explained.

Our company’s marketing director also boasted about the numbers reached by the “Novosti.rs” portal. More precisely, it is Gemius data in the period from January to September 2024.

During her participation in the panel, Filipčev emphasized, among other things, that it is very important who presents certain content, and that a media company should have its own reputation, brand, and history in order for people to believe in the information they receive.

When asked to compare the relationship between print and digital, Filipčev says that each has its own audience, but that print is not losing the race, regardless of the fact that it is an established opinion.

– Our older population has a habit of reading, but the younger population also often likes to feel the newspaper in their hands. Also, they are informed on portals where there is a different way of reporting, i.e. where everything is posted minute by minute – she explained.
