The Martorell Padel Club celebrated the final phase of the Social League, which this year reached its 16th edition, throughout the weekend. The tracks of the Municipal Pavilion of Can Cases have been the setting for the different qualifiers of this competition, where a total of 96 participants have taken part, divided into 48 pairs and in six categories.
Last February 22, the regular phase of this 16th Social League began, where all participating couples were divided into two categories: male and mixed. In addition, taking into account the level of the players, the pairs were grouped into a total of six groups, four male (A, B, C and D) and two mixed (A and B).
The coordinator of the Martorell Padel Club, Pau Quilez, has made a very positive assessment of this edition of the Social League where a very good atmosphere is generated: “It is a competition that we have been doing for many years and where people from club and of the house, of Martorell. For our part, we are very happy and satisfied with the participation because there are six groups in total”.

As for the competition system, it has remained the same as in the last editions of the Social League, where the last two pairs of each group were relegated and the first two classifieds were promoted. Pau Quílez explains that in this final phase it has been played based on how it has been in the classification: “It’s a system that works for us, that we like and that encourages you to motivate yourself to try to move up and finish in the best group high possible.”.
