The penultimate stage of this year’s edition of the Nations League ends on Saturday, November 16, when things can be clarified in several groups.
The Netherlands and Hungary are fighting for 2nd place in Group A3, the same one in which Germany are favorites with Bosnia-Herzegovina
In the top tier, Germany need a home draw with Bosnia-Herzegovina to win Group A3. Things are different in terms of the dispute for 2nd place, which leads to the quarter-finals of the competition.
The Netherlands and Hungary have 5 points each and they meet on the field of the first, after the score was 1-1 in the round. Whoever wins finishes in second place, regardless of the results that will be recorded in the last stage, because in the case of equal points the first tie-breaker is the direct matches.
Instead, if it will be equal, the goal difference is taken into account, a chapter in which the Netherlands is much better, +2, compared to -3. In the last round, on November 19, Bosnia-Herzegovina will play the Netherlands and Hungary – Germany.
The Republic of Moldova defeated Andorra 1-0, the goal being scored by Postolachi, in the 90th + 2nd minute
In Group B1, Georgia and Ukraine finished tied, 1-1, and from 21:45 Albania – Czech Republic will play. With a win, the Czech Republic would move into first place, with 10p, but to be sure of winning the group and, implicitly, qualifying in the first value echelon, they must not lose in the last round, at home, to Georgia, which has 7 points and won in the round with a categorical 4-1.
In Group B4 both games ended, Montenegro – Iceland 0-2 and Turkey – Wales 0-0, with the mention that Aktürkoğlu missed a penalty in the 88th minute. Turkey has 11 points and in the last stage they play in Montenegro (without point), while Wales (9 points) receives the reply of Iceland (7 points).
Azerbaijan and Estonia drew, 0-0, in the first match of Group C1, and from 21:45 the meeting between Sweden and Slovakia will be played, both having 10 points each. In the round it was 2-2, so the team that wins will win the group, and in the next season will perform in the second echelon.
