The maximum salary that FRF is willing to pay to Romania’s new coach!

Răzvan Burleanu wants to offer a decent salary for Romania to the future selector, but the heads of the FRF will provide him depending on the fulfillment of fairly consistent primary objectives.

Edi Iordănescu is already history for the national team, and Răzvan Burleanu and Mihai Stoichiță are currently looking for a new coach.

Although some people in Romanian football put various public pressures on the heads of the FRF, so that they offer a decent and high enough salary for the position of a selector, however ProSport found out what his strategy is Răzvan Burleanu.

The maximum salary that FRF is willing to pay to Romania’s new coach!

Sources within the FRF revealed to ProSport what will be Răzvan Burleanu’s salary strategy in order to find a new replacement for Edi Iordănescu regardless of the name of the one approached.

“Word of mouth is easy to give, and those who don’t work in the FRF can say whatever they want and whatever they want on the sports broadcasts. We are the best at giving advice on other people’s money, but it’s not that simple when you start negotiating with a possible replacement for Edi Iordănescu. After all, we live in Romania and we know very well what the average salary is in this country, right?

You can’t give a coach 45-50,000 euros a month and find out you don’t even qualify for the World Championship. So, a salary of 25,000 euros or let’s say a maximum of 30,000 euros is a decent one for the future selector. Last but not least, he will surely be given quite substantial bonuses for meeting the objectives. And these firsts could reach somewhere around 500,000 euros if you qualify for the World Championship and then leave the groups. Perform first and foremost, and the financial rewards will surely follow. It is true that the FRF will also receive quite significant sums of money for everything that was achieved at EURO 2024, but these performances will also be duly rewarded by the heads of the FRF.

I repeat, everyone is free to say whatever they want, but in the end Răzvan Burleanu will seek to provide a salary balance and offer fairly large bonuses for meeting the objectives. We will have a group in the Nations League and a World Cup qualifying campaign ahead of us,” the source told us ProSport.
