The Memory Parade will take place on Kuibyshev Square in Samara on Thursday, November 7. It will be dedicated to the famous military parade of 1941, which took place in Kuibyshev.

“The Memory Parade personifies the connection of times and the continuity of generations, reminds each of us of the greatness of the feat of the Soviet people who crushed fascism,” said the governor of the Samara region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, at a meeting of the organizing committee.

According to him, this is truly a people’s project.

The main theme of the 2024 parade was the slogan “Our family is our Victory!”

More than 7.5 thousand people are expected to take part in the event.

Earlier, Governor of the Tver Region Igor Rudenya congratulated Great Patriotic War veteran and home front worker Nina Shirokova on her 103rd birthday.
