The men’s polo team just ran after the Italians

The men’s water polo team preparing for the Paris Olympics lost to the Italian team in the second round of the men’s preparation tournament on Margaret Island on Friday.

Hungary-Italy 11-13 (1-5, 3-2, 4-4, 3-2)
the Hungarian goal scorers: Manhercz 4, Angyal, Zalánki 2-2, Vigvári Vi., Fekete, Jansik 1-1

Péter Kovács replaced Márton Vámos, who was absent due to illness, in the 13-man Olympic team of the host team. The Hungarians got off to a particularly bad start, because even though Krisztián Manhercz was able to respond to the first Italian goal, he scored four times in the rival series until the end of the first quarter.

After that, the home team just ran after the result, but they were never able to get closer to the World Cup silver medalist opponent, who eventually triumphed 13-11. The best of the Hungarian team was Manhercz with four goals. National captain Zsolt Varga’s team will meet the Japanese on Saturday at 11 a.m.
