When Tiele Azambuja, a model and fitness trainer from Brazil, was asked to be a bridesmaid by her old friend, she enthusiastically accepted. However, Tiele, 29, had one condition: bring her own food to the event. Devoted to her strict lifestyle, this was an essential requirement for her.
When the bride refused to allow him to bring her groceries, Tiele finally decided not to attend the wedding and not be with his girlfriend at the altar.
“I take my lifestyle very seriously,” explained Tiele, who has nearly 10,000 followers on Instagram.
“Discipline is key to the results I’m after and I knew that on the day of the wedding, with so many sugary and carb-laden dishes, my meals would be essential. The bride claimed that the ceremony would last almost 12 hours, and given that I eat every three hours, it didn’t make sense not to bring my meals. Skipping the diet wasn’t an option, even though I’d already bought my dress. If I couldn’t bring my food, I couldn’t attend.”
The conflict over the prepared meals led to a dispute between Tiele and the bride. Her friend felt that the attention of the guests should be on the event, and the tables brought by Tiele could distract. However, the influencer did not agree, arguing that she had to respect her routine and health.
“I understand it’s her special day, but I have to take care of my body and my health. I can’t give up my diet overnight,” she said.
Although it was difficult for her to make the decision, Tiele felt that it was the best choice for her. His girlfriend, although disappointed, eventually accepted her decision, understanding that it was a personal choice, he writes Dailymail.
“It was a difficult choice, but I know I did what was right for me,” insisted Tiele. “Maintaining discipline and consistency is a principle I apply in all aspects of my life. By choosing this way, I believe I have honored this part of me.”
