At the meeting of the Economic and Social Council (ESS), Labor Minister Luka Mesec proposed a 1.9% adjustment of the minimum wage for this year, i.e. as much as the annual inflation, Radio Slovenia reports.
With a 1.9% adjustment, the minimum wage would amount to approximately 1,280 euros gross this year. However, the trade unions strove for at least a 3.5% adjustment.
According to information from Radio Slovenia, he is the Minister of Labour Port Moon at the same time, he also announced a new calculation of the minimum cost of living, which means that the minimum wage will increase next year by more than inflation.
