In 1977, the famous artist Georgy Adamovich Stronk visited the Karelian sanatorium “Martial Waters”. There he painted a portrait of Svetlana Seradskaya, at that time a resident doctor. I also made a drawing in colored pencil. It is still kept in the family of Svetlana Stepanovna.

But the unique meeting itself took place thanks to Svetlana Seradskaya’s daughter, who contacted the museum. The model and her portrait met in the funds. Svetlana Stepanovna told how the process of creating a picturesque portrait took place. The heroine of the film was very pleased with Georgy Stronk; he managed to capture the beauty of her youth and strong character.

The Sieradski family was shown all the existing works of the painter Georgy Stronk in the museum’s storage room.

Georgy Adamovich Stronk is a famous Karelian artist and graphic artist. Born in 1910 in Poland. Then the family moved to Vitebsk. Graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Upon completion of his studies, the artist received an invitation to work from the Karelian Scientific Research Institute of Culture and in 1939 he moved to Petrozavodsk. Lived and worked here.
