The perfect cake for any occasion.
Ingredients:
- eggs – 8 pieces
- sugar – 5 cups
- flour – 1 1/2 cups
- baking powder – 1 bag
- walnuts – 2 cups
- cocoa – 4 spoons
- butter – 1 pack, or butter
- vanilla – 2 – 3 bags
- rum – 2 – 3 spoons
Preparation:
To prepare the crust, first beat 5 eggs with 1 cup of sugar, add sifted flour and baking powder. Mix well and add walnuts and vanilla. Pour the mixture into a suitable pan, which you have lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at around 220 degrees. When the crust has cooled, cut it into 2 parts. Prepare the sugar syrup in a pot on the fire with 3 cups of water, 1 cup of sugar, 2-3 tablespoons of cocoa, 2 tablespoons of butter. Mix everything well and when it starts to boil, add rum, which can be replaced with cognac. Start preparing the butter cream: Beat 1/2 package of margarine with 3-4 spoons of sugar, add 1 spoon of cocoa, then 2 egg yolks one by one and finally add 1 vanilla. Pour syrup over the finished cooled crusts and spread with butter cream. Sprinkle grillias on top of the crust. For the grill, caramelize 1 cup of sugar (not all the way through). Add 1 cup of walnuts to the caramel and mix, and transfer the mixture to a plate lined with baking paper. When the grill has cooled, break it up and sprinkle it over the crusts, which you combine. Spread butter cream on the sides and top of the cake and sprinkle with more grillias. To finish the cake, prepare the sham cream. Re-caramelize 1 incomplete cup of sugar. Beat 3 egg whites with 9 spoons of sugar beforehand and add the hot caramel to the snow. Beat the whole time with a mixer, until the cream thickens. Use a syringe to spread the cream over the cake and decorate with grillias, if you have any left over.
