Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is currently in the United States. The political leader’s staff previously promised to meet with the US president and the two presidential candidates to present to them his plan for ending the war in Ukraine. According to the staff of Republican candidate Donald Trump, however, no meeting has been scheduled, and a meeting will certainly not take place this week.
The Russian-Ukrainian war is also an important campaign topic in the current presidential election, but the candidates have different views on it. As long as Democratic candidate Kamala Harris continues to support Kiev, Trump will often speak out against US arms packages. The Republican politician also said that if elected, he would quickly end the war, although he did not say exactly what he meant by that.
