The most powerful Abarth in history is electric and like a 500e, but bigger

On February 12, 2024, Abarth celebrated its 75 years of activity. To celebrate, the brand created by Carlo Abarth unveiled the first images of the Abarth 600ea sporty version of the small electric SUV Fiat 600e.

Today, the car is already on sale. And with a starting price of 45,000 eurosthis rival to the future Mini Aceman JCW and the Smart #1 Brabus, follows the Abarth tradition of exclusivity.

Two powers, a single battery and 300 km of autonomy

As tradition dictates, the Abarth 600e has an aggressive body kit that differentiates it from the Fiat version. The front bumper air intake is more open, the side skirts are more prominent and the roof spoiler is practically a spoiler.

Available in two versions, Turismo and Scorpionissima, each has a different power level. He 600e Turismo delivers 240 hp and costs from 45.000 euroswhile the Scorpion delivers 280 hp and part of the 49.000 eurosthis being also the most powerful Abarth in history on a commercial level. Both have a battery with 54 kWh gross capacity (50.8 kWh net capacity).

Opposite, the new Mini Aceman SE John Cooper Works, with 218 HP and powered by a 54.2 kWh battery, sells from 49,130 euros. As for Smart #1, its 272 HP Pure version (with a 49 kWh battery) starts at 38,400 euros, while the 231 HP Cupra Born, with a 58 kWh net battery, starts at 38,490 euros. But perhaps its most notable rival would be the MG 4 XPower which, with two motors for a total of 435 HP and a 64 kWh battery, costs from 40,230 euros.

On board, the differences with respect to the Fiat 600e are less evident. The steering wheel of the supercharged version is sportier. It has acid green stitching, a zero point on its top and a scorpion in its center.

The word Abarth appears in front of the passenger on the dashboard and in the center of it a p10.25 inch touch screen with integrated navigation. The leather and Alcantara seats are also specific to the Abarth versions.

Less visible, the suspension has been recalibrated with respect to the Fiat model. The car also has a Torsen limited slip differential designed for the occasion and oversized front Alcon brakes, with 380 mm discs and four-piston calipers.

The 54 kWh gross battery allows for a range of up to 317 km (WLTP combined cycle). On the other hand, the Tourism version approves a consumption of 19 kWh/100 km what would give a more real autonomy of 265 km.

In terms of performance, the Abarth 600e announces a 0 to 100 km/h in 6.24 seconds for the Turismo version and 5.85 seconds for the Scorpionissima version. This time is better than that of the Mini Aceman JCW, which is 6.4 seconds, but far from the MG4 XPower and its 0 to 100 km/H in 3.5 seconds.
