The range of the new model is completed Porsche PanameraThe flagship from Zuffenhausen receives the versions GTS e Turbo S E-Hybridboth equipped with the 4.0 V8 twin-turbo and the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

But it is the hybrid that is setting record numbers, having recently set the lap record at the Nurburgring Nordschleife among luxury hybrid sedans. In fact, the overall power of this powertrain is 782 CV.

The Secrets of the Turbo S E-Hybrid

The new Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid represents the top model of the range, thanks to its extraordinary power. The engine V8 biturbo delivers 600 hp, while the electric motor, fully integrated into the PDK’s cooling system, adds a further 190 hp. This brings the total system output to 782 hp, an increase of 102 hp compared to the previous model.

Overall torque has also increased by 150 Nm, reaching 1.000 Nm. The Turbo S E-Hybrid accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and can reach a top speed of 325 km/h, improving performance by 25 km/h and 0.5 seconds compared to the previous version.

The hybrid powertrain, compared to the previous generation, allows for greater electric autonomy, reduced charging times and better responsiveness. drums high voltage has a capacity of 25.9 kWh (gross), accumulating 45% more energy than the previous model, and guarantees aautonomy electric up to 88 km in the WLTP urban cycle.

Increasing recuperation power to 88 kW contributes to greater efficiency in all-electric mode. Using a suitable power source, the 11 kW on-board AC charger can charge the battery from zero to 100% in approximately two hours and 39 minutes.

Exclusive look

The aesthetics of the Turbo S E-Hybrid are characterised by a specific rear bumper and a body-coloured front end. This version also features Dark Bronze exhaust tips, while the paintwork Turbonite is reserved exclusively for this model. This color is also found in the interior, in particular on the decorative profiles and on the seat belt straps.

To this we can add the Carbon Aerokitthe same aerodynamic package equipped by the car that set a lap time of 7:24.172 at the Nurburgring. This includes the bladed air intakes, the carbon rear diffuser and the adaptive four-way spoiler. In addition, there are Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires measuring 275/35 ZR21 at the front and 325/30 ZR21 at the rear.

The Turbo S E-Hybrid features Porsche Active Ride suspension, a braking system with 440 mm carbon-ceramic discs at the front and rear-axle steering rounding out the package.

All about the GTS

Moving on to the GTS, this Panamera gets 500 hp, 20 hp more than the previous model. The 0-100 km/h sprint is 3.8 seconds, while the top speed is 302 km/h.

Porsche has chosen a particularly sporty calibration for the twin-chamber air suspension with two valves, which comes as standard on the Panamera GTS, together with the PASM system.

The 10-millimeter lowering of the body and the reinforced anti-roll bars provide a more direct driving experience and reduce the basic spring load. The electronically controlled PTV Plus limited-slip differential ensures optimum distribution of torque between the wheels. These combined measures ensure greater body stability and reduce pitching and rolling at all speeds.

The black GTS logos on the sides and rear of the Porsche, together with the exclusive front section, the darkened HD Matrix LED headlights and rear lights, and the red brake calipers, give the Panamera GTS a distinctive look.

Il Sport package The standard specification also includes body elements in Satin Black, such as the side skirts, the inserts in the front section, the side window surrounds and the rear bumper. For an interesting contrast, Porsche has kept the tailpipes of the sports exhaust system in Dark Bronze. Inside, Porsche has made extensive use of the suede-like Race-Tex material, which can be found in the headliner, armrests, door panels and the centre panel of the 18-way adaptive sports seats. Two GTS-specific interior packages are available, in Carmine Red or Agate Grey, with decorative stitching and colour-matched seat belts.

A matt carbon interior package is also available. The standard equipment of the Panamera GTS includes a Bose® sound system and the Sport Chrono package with stopwatch and push-to-pass function.
