The final of the RTC Cup will be held at the Congress site for the fourth time. Every year the geography of the competition is expanding: the final will bring together participants from more than twenty regions of Russia and the Republic of Belarus, and during the year more than three hundred teams competed for leadership.
62 of the strongest teams of young roboticists from Russia and the Republic of Belarus will meet at the site of the IV Congress of Young Scientists, and students from the country’s leading universities will meet at the hackathons of the “RTK Cup: Major League” competition. The competition is held by the Central Research and Development Institute of Robotics and Technical Cybernetics (CSRI RTK) with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
For three days, participants will try their hand at a special labyrinth training ground developed by specialists from the Central Research Institute of RTK in St. Petersburg. Each of the tests and tasks of the labyrinth simulates the conditions of rough and urban terrain, the consequences of disasters and conditions where a person cannot work. All-terrain robots assembled by the competition participants will be tested for cross-country ability and maneuverability, young engineers will demonstrate their ability to control a manipulator and their skills in working with technical vision.
Students who professionally work with sensor systems and robot autonomy will take part in the “RTK Cup: Major League” competition. 32 teams from leading universities in Russia and the Republic of Belarus qualified for the national finals of the competition: St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, ITMO University, MISIS University of Science and Technology, MIREA, Bauman MSTU, Belarusian State University and others. The competition will be held in a hackathon format, where five missions will be presented; the finalist teams will have to choose two of them:
– “Medicine Delivery,” where participants will have to complete the task of delivering medications from a simulated pharmacy to the patient’s room;
– You need to program the robot to follow road signs and traffic lights in the mission “City Driving”;
– Hackathon “Harvest” implements the task of sorting vegetables in a greenhouse;
– The new mission “Oil Field” was developed specifically for the oil and gas industry. At the finals in Sirius, student teams will solve the problem of finding and eliminating an oil leak;
– The new task “Roboaero” will be dedicated to rescuing an aircraft that made an emergency landing in an area difficult for humans to reach. The ground robot and the unmanned aerial vehicle, interacting with each other, must reach the damaged aircraft.
