the Netflix film divides Internet users

Werewolves are out this month, since after the show offered by Canal+, it is a film inspired by the famous board game that fans were able to discover this week on Netflix. An adaptation which has apparently once again divided the networks, as evidenced by the divisive opinions of Internet users that we can read about it.

Loups-Garous on Netflix: a French comedy that does not please everyone

As the end of October draws near, many are therefore preparing to celebrate Halloween as it should be. A time of year highly anticipated by fans of horror and terror, and which is therefore particularly favorable for those who love to shiver with terror.

This is particularly why we can see a whole bunch of films and series featuring the terrifying creatures of the night being highlighted. Zombies, ghosts, vampires, werewolves and other monsters are the stars at the moment. And speaking of werewolves, they have recently returned to the spotlight thanks to different projects.

Indeed, fans were treated to two adaptations of the famous board game Les Loups-Garous de Thiercelieux this month. They were thus able to discover a program in the form of a game show on Canal+, but also a film, simply titled Werewolves. Released October 23 on Netflixthis feature film by François Uzan brings back some big stars of French cinema, with Franck Dubosc and Jean Reno.

And if the new show by Fary and Panayotis Pascot has been praised by Internet users, the Netflix film is struggling to gain unanimous support on the networks. Indeed, we can see many reviews about it on X/Twitter, some having obviously not been won over by this new French comedy. Note, however, that others still seem to have had a good time watching it, although the majority agree that it is certainly not the best film of the year.

#LoupsGarous on Netflix, it’s a massacre. Between an exhausted Jean Reno and a breathless Dubosc, we are swimming in the shameful clichés of comedy: Sexism, homophobia, racism, everything goes, and it’s supposed to be funny? A real abomination to be buried urgently. #Netflix pic.twitter.com/dsA9dbSvua

I finished “Werewolf” on Netflix, I wasn’t expecting anything, but in the end I really liked it! I had a lot of fun watching the film, it’s very predictable and without surprises, but the film is enjoyable and then there’s Jean Reno!

I’m not at all into French films (or very rare) but then The Werewolf which was just released on Netflix I really enjoyed. It respects the game! To have. \u2728\ufe0f

I know they say it’s easy to fall for French comedies, or to spit on Netflix productions, but make an effort too… pic.twitter.com/W6nOibEMXj

Frankly, I think we judged the Netflix film, Werewolves too badly, in terms of it’s going to be bad etc, but it’s pretty good?? It doesn’t break three legs of a duck, it’s not the masterpiece of the year, but for a film of the genre, it’s pretty good I think

mild euphemism to say that #LoupsGarous Netflix version is an abomination, which respects neither its audience nor its original material. Absence of staging, special effects of an ugliness rarely equaled and absolutely disastrous humor. A total non-film. pic.twitter.com/zFnTdl3Cx3
