“Flying Ambassador”: New Air Serbia plane in EXPO 2027 colors
A new aircraft in the fleet of Air Serbia, branded in the colors of the EXPO 2027 special exhibition, was presented at Nikola Tesla Airport, with the aim of being its “flying ambassador” and conveying the message of the exhibition that will bring together more than 120 countries in Serbia.
The Airbus A330-200 is a new, wide-body aircraft, which has 262 seats and will be used for flights to New York and Chicago, as well as to Tijuan and Guangzhou in China, Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali explained at the presentation of the aircraft.
First Vice-President of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and Minister of Finance Siniša Mali and Minister of Economy Adrijana Mesarović attended the presentation of the new a, which bears the colors and markings of the specialized exhibition EKSPO 2027, at Nikola Tesla Airport.
Mali pointed out that Air Serbia is the fastest growing airline in the region and that it will receive three more new planes by the end of the year, so that there will be 29 aircraft in its fleet.

He emphasized that Air Serbia has transported more than 30 million passengers since 2013, when its reorganization began, and that this year alone, until the end of August, it transported three million passengers.
According to some opinions, there are three symbols of a country’s sovereignty, namely the anthem, the flag and a strong national airline. Today, Serbia has all that and that is why for me the success of Air Serbia is precisely the success of our country, said Mali.
The First Deputy Prime Minister noted that Air Serbia started flying to Guangzhou in China just a few days ago, and that by the end of the year, they will introduce a line to Shanghai as well.
More than three million visitors are expected at the exhibition
At the EXPO exhibition, we expect more than three million visitors and to present our country in the right way, he stressed, expressing the expectation that through the program Serbia 2027 and further accelerated growth and development of Serbia, through investment in highways, high-speed railways and roads, schools , hospitals, in our energy sector, let’s increase salaries, pensions, minimum wages.

The director of Air Serbia Jirži Marek said that, in anticipation of the upcoming EXPO 2027, that company wanted to contribute to the promotion of that important event and that is why it decided to give its third wide-body aircraft the visual identity of that exhibition.
The director of the company Expo 2027, Dušan Borovčanin, pointed out that this plane, as it crosses borders, will in some way be an ambassador that will carry and spread the message of what EXPO 2027 is.
