The new Audi A6 e-tron officially debuts with up to 756 KM pure electric range

The Audi A6 e-tron is the newest member of the German manufacturer’s range of electric cars. The new A6 generation, now purely electric, will be available in two body styles.

As we already learned, any car from Audi with an even number in the name will be purely electric, while the odd numbers will be reserved for thermal models. Thus, the new generation A6 is a purely electric model.

The newly unveiled Audi A6 e-tron is the German manufacturer’s second model to use the new PPE platform, after the Q6. The design of the new Audi A6 e-tron is focused on efficiency, so the Sportback version has an aerodynamic coefficient of 0.21, while the A6 Avant has a coefficient of 0.24.

The front integrates the frameless grille, a distinctive element on all new Audi models. As with the Q6, the front optical blocks have been split into two. The profile of the car is completed with rims with dimensions starting from 19 inches. Optionally, customers can choose wheels up to 21 inches.

The rear of both body variants, both Sportback and Avant, is dominated by a light bar with LED technology. It also incorporates the Audi logo, which is illuminated and highly visible at night.

The interior is clearly part of the new Audi design philosophy. The cabin is characterized by straight lines, and the screens dominate the dashboard. As standard, the Audi A6 e-tron receives two screens: one of 11.9 inches for the instrument panel and another, of 14.5 inches, for the multimedia system. Optionally, customers can opt for a third screen, 10.9 inches diagonally, for the passenger.

Up to 503 HP and 756 km maximum range

At launch, all versions of the Audi A6, including the sporty S6, will use a 100 kWh battery with a useful capacity of 99.4 kWh. The A6 Sportback and Avant use an electric motor, mounted on the rear axle, which develops 367 hp and allows acceleration from 0-100 in 5.4 seconds, and the maximum speed is 210 km/h.

The Audi S6 uses two electric motors, for a total of 503 hp and all-wheel drive. Except that, in launch control mode, the car develops 550 HP. Thus, the S6 e-tron can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 240 km/h.

When it comes to autonomy, the Audi A6 boasts impressive values. The Audi A6 Sportback can travel up to 756 km on a single charge, while the station wagon is capable of a maximum range of 720 km.

On the other hand, the high-performance S6 versions offer lower, but not negligible, autonomy. The S6 Sportback can travel up to 675 km on a charge, while those who want an S6 Avant will have to settle for 647 km.

The A6 e-tron and S6 e-tron will be available to order from September 2024 as Sportback and Avant versions. Market launch prices will be 75,600 euros for the A6 Sportback e-tron and 99,500 euros for the Audi S6 Sportback e-tron. A version with a smaller 83 kWh battery will also be available later.
