The fourth generation of the BMW 1 Series has also arrived at The BMW Store. The optional M Sport and M Sport Design packages make the new BMW 1 Series even more dynamic. M-specific design features include large air intakes at the front, accentuated side skirts and a three-dimensional diffuser element at the rear.
At the top of the range is the BMW M135 xDrive, which accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds.
The newly designed interior of the BMW 1 Series offers an ambience with sporty elements and generous space for up to five passengers. By folding the backrests of the rear seats, the trunk storage space can be increased from 380 to 1,200 liters.
The fully digital display system consists of a 10.25-inch information display and a 10.7-inch control screen. In addition to the BMW M135 xDrive version, there are other engines available for the new BMW 1 Series as part of the latest generation of modular engines from the BMW Group.
The three-cylinder petrol engine of the BMW 120 and the four-cylinder diesel engine of the BMW 120d combined with 48-volt mild-hybrid technology improve efficiency and spontaneous energy delivery. All power units transfer their power to a 7-speed Steptronic dual-clutch gearbox as standard.
The new BMW 1 Series offers an expanded range of automated driving and parking systems as standard or optional equipment. Standard features include Driver Assist with Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Departure Warning and Traffic Sign Recognition, as well as Park Assist with Reverse Assist.
The optional range also includes steering and lane control assistance, automatic speed limit assistance and route guidance when using active cruise control with the Stop & Go function. Parking Assistant Professional is also available for the new BMW 120 and the new BMW 120d, which enables parking and maneuvering control using a smartphone.
In addition to high-quality support systems, the significantly expanded range of standard equipment of the new BMW 1 Series also includes automatic climate control, an alarm system, electrically folding exterior mirrors and BMW Live Cockpit Plus, including the cloud-based BMW Maps navigation system. The innovation package includes the BMW Live Cockpit Professional with the BMW Head-Up Display and an extended display on the control display, as well as Parking Assistant Plus.
The new BMW 1 Series features the latest version of BMW iDrive with the QuickSelect function for intuitive and practical control of the vehicle’s functions. The new BMW iDrive is designed for touch and voice control and is based on BMW Operating System 9, which provides the basis for a highly individual selection of additional digital services.
BMW ID and the My BMW app offer a practical way to personalize the user experience in the new model. BMW Digital Key Plus with wireless technology for compatible smartphones with iOS or Android operating systems and Apple Watch can also be optionally set via the My BMW app.
