The New Dawn, the new release from Bloober Team

Bloober Team has confirmed the requirements for Cronos: The New Dawn, its next project for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series sometime in 2025. The studio works at a pretty good pace, actually, because this year they finished Silent Hill 2 Remake and next year they will return to the fray with another important release.

Cronos: The New Dawn is going to be a horror and survival game with a third-person perspective that will allow us to travel through time. Both the proposal and the setting of the game are very interesting, and At a graphic level it seems that it is going to border on a good levelalthough we will have to see if they are capable of optimizing one of their games well from the beginning for once.

Cronos: The New Dawn minimum requirements

  • Windows 10 64-bit as operating system.
  • Procesador Intel Core i5-8400F o Ryzen 5 3600.
  • 16 GB of RAM memory.
  • GeForce GTX 1080 or Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card. The correct equivalence is a Radeon RX 5700.
  • DirectX 12.
  • SSD drive with 50 GB of free space.

They do not give performance data but this configuration should be enough to be able to play on 1080p with low or medium quality and stable 30 FPS.

Los recommended requirements They are much higher, and fit with what we could consider as a mid-high range PC:

  • Windows 10 64-bit as operating system.
  • Intel Core i7-10700K or Ryzen 5 3600X processor. They have been wrong with the AMD equivalence, it would be a Ryzen 7 3700X.
  • 16 GB of RAM memory.
  • GeForce RTX 3080 or Radeon RX 6800 XT graphics card.
  • DirectX 12.
  • SSD drive with 50 GB of free space.

They have not given performance data with this configuration either, but it is most likely enough to play on 1080p with maximum quality and stable 60 FPS or at 1440p with maximum quality and between 30 and 60 FPS.

No further requirements have been listed, but I am convinced that to play it in 4K with maximum quality and a good level of fluidity we will need to have at least one GeForce RTX 4080 o con una Radeon RX 7900 XTX.

Personally, I think it is the most interesting project that Bloober Team has embarked on so far. The first scenes I’ve seen with real gameplay They have made a good impression on me, although I have the feeling that the development of the action is going to end up being too linear, something similar to what we saw for example in The Callisto Protocol. All in all, if it doesn’t arrive very poorly optimized I’ll end up giving it a chance.
