The new generation of Nvidia graphics will start quickly, almost all models are said to be released in the winter

Not long ago, we reported that according to news about the new generation of Nvidia graphics, the company could reveal three models at the very beginning – GeForce RTX 5090, GeForce RTX 5080 and even GeForce RTX 5070. However, it seems that the start of the new generation could be even more aggressive and other, cheaper cards would be released right away, so that within a few months practically the entire range could land replacing the 4000 generation cards in the offer.

Information appeared on the Board Channels forum (pointed out by VideoCardz) that Nvidia has already started discussions with card manufacturers, from whom these things are then leaked, as well as a plan to release lower models of the new generation with the Blackwell architecture, among them already “60” category cards . Although it may not be a really final release schedule yet, since the dates can probably be moved even at the last minute, but according to these leaks, Nvidia is now counting on a very quick release of the entire generation.

According to Boards Channels, there will be GeForce models RTX 5090 a GeForce RTX 5080 both released in the first month of the year. Not necessarily at once, there can be a two-week gap between them. A special model will be sold in China instead of the RTX 5090 RTX 5090 Dbut that too should be released in January.

Next month (February / February) two more models are to be released, namely GeForce RTX 5070 a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti.

Nothing about the Ti model has appeared in the leaks so far, so it could be a new thing. We’ll see if any specs start to emerge for this card. However, the Ti model between the 5080 and 5070 makes sense, because the first uses a fully active GB203 chip and the second uses a smaller GB205 silicon. Nvidia would need one more intermediate model with a trimmed version of the GB203, in which chips with some manufacturing defect could be used. So this card could have a 256-bit, 224-bit, or 192-bit memory bus (and thus 16, 14, or 12 GB of memory).

According to these sources, however, Nvidia plans to soon release cheaper Blackwells, GeForce cards RTX 5060 a GeForce RTX 5060 Ti. Both of these graphics are scheduled to be released next month in March (March). In the current generation of Ada Lovelace, the RTX 4060 is the lowest-end desktop model, so it is possible that with the RTX 5060, the release of practically the entire line of graphics with the Blackwell architecture will be completed within one quarter, perhaps even before the official start of spring.

There has been no news about these latest models yet, so we can guess at most that these graphics will have a 128-bit memory interface and thus a memory capacity of 8 GB (or in the case of a more expensive so-called “clamshell” bus equipped with twice the chips, 16 GB). The cards could probably be equipped with GB206 and GB207 chips, which are supposed to be GPUs with 4608 shaders (36 SM) and 2560 shaders (20 SM). According to older information, cards based on the GB206 (RTX 5060 Ti?) could still use the new type of GDDR7 memory, but those with the smaller GB207 chip (regular RTX 5060?) would only have GDDR6 memory. But this may no longer apply, who knows.

If the GeForce RTX 5060 comes out by spring, then Nvidia could have almost the entire range of graphics replaced by the new generation at that point, which would be probably the fastest replacement of the old generation that we can remember in recent memory. From the cards of the Ada Lovelace generation, only the regular GeForce RTX 4060 could remain in the offer, which could be a cheaper, weaker model standing below the new RTX 5060 – similar to how the RTX 2060 and RTX 3060 survived for a long time.
