Within this summer, we saw Samsung release the new Galaxy Ring and we assumed that if there is a new successor, then it will come in the summer of ’25. That, however, may not be the case, as a tipster now confirms. According to this unverified rumor, the Galaxy Ring 2 it’s coming and it’s going to arrive earlier than originally planned.
Unfortunately, the source did not elaborate on the specific release time frame, so we can only assume that January with the Galaxy S25 family seems too soon, while July with the next batch of foldable devices is not early compared to expectations many. So the next Galaxy Ring should arrive sometime in the interim? This doesn’t make much sense since we don’t see Samsung holding an entire event just for this device. Is it finally coming in January? Only time will tell.
Anyway, when it arrives, it will have better battery life than the original and will be thinner too. Apparently it will also have some new features, but these are not yet known, so we can only hope that it will support NFC for payments.
As usual with these kinds of rumours, keep in mind that this is only an unverified source claiming all of this, so we may have plenty of reasons to be cautious!
