The new Jeep Compass will arrive in Europe in 2025

The new generation of the Jeep Compass SUV appears in a first official sketch. The new model will be launched in Europe in 2025.

The current generation Jeep Compass has been on the market since 2017, and a facelift gave it an aesthetic and technological boost in 2021. It will be an important model for the company and for the Stellantis group, of which Jeep is a part. And, fittingly Engine1will be produced at the Stellantis factory in Melfi, Italy, where the current generation is also manufactured.

The new Jeep Compass will be built on the STLA Medium platform, just like the new Peugeot 3008 and 5008. Just like the two SUVs of the French manufacturer, the next generation Jeep Compass will therefore be able to be equipped with several types of engines: thermal, hybrid or electric, with the possibility of all-wheel drive. For now we have no information about the engines that will equip the new SUV, but maybe we can find some clues by looking at its brothers from France.

The Jeep Compass will share the platform with the Peugeot 3008

If we refer to the range of engines available on the 3008 and 5008, the Compass could use the same 1.2-liter mild-hybrid, 1.6-liter plug-in hybrid engines, but also two electric versions. There is also an electric variant with two electric motors that equips the 3008 and 5008, which will probably make its way to the Compass as well.

When it comes to the design, so far we only have a sketch provided by the manufacturer where we can see the profile of the car. As we are used to, we will be dealing with a square, robust SUV that retains the Jeep DNA. The proportions are similar to those of the current generation, but we will have to wait for the interior.

The official launch could take place at the end of this year, and the production of the new one will still remain in the Melfi plant, where the Compass is still produced today.
