On sale on the international market from 2021, the current generation of Kia Sportage will receive an update soon.
Within the scope of the so-called restyling mid-life, the model will receive adjustments to remain competitive against its main rivals and will also add more technology. The details are already visible in the first teasers released by the South Korean brand.

As always happens with mid-cycle restyling, the main innovations will be concentrated in the front. In this sense, the Kia Sportage 2025 it will have larger and vertically shaped headlights, inspired by Kia’s latest launches. The LED daytime running lights, slimmer grille and slightly redesigned bumper also stand out.

On the sides, only the design of the alloy wheels will change, with specific elements for each version. The rear, however, will have repositioned headlights with internal elements and, as for the front, a slightly revised bumper. The innovations will be applied both to the elongated bodywork (sold in regions such as South Korea, North America and Australia) and to the shorter model, intended for Europe and Brazil.

Engines confirmed
The mechanics will remain unchanged, as the engines currently offered are still relatively efficient and in line with the anti-pollution regulations of the global market.
Depending on the region, the current Sportage features 2.0 and 2.5 naturally aspirated petrol engines, as well as 1.5 T-GDI, 1.6 T-GDI and 2.0 T-GDI (turbo direct injection petrol), as well as 1.6 CRDi and diesel options. 2.0 CRDi and versions hybrid – both MHEV (micro-hybrid) and PHEV (plug-in). The gearboxes can be manual, 7-speed dual-clutch automatic or 6- or 8-speed automatic.

The facelift is expected to arrive on the main international markets in 2025after being launched on the international market in November 2024.
