The Masters of the Universe movie directed by Travis Knight will be shown in the summer of 2026.
Nicholas Galitzine, who plays He-Man in the new Masters of the Universe movie, says The Hollywood Reporter in the story, the upcoming movie is something completely different from the original animated series.
“I have prepared for the role by watching the series. Our film is something completely different. The cartoon is a product of its time and suitably campy. However, for us the script is our bible, so the film differs from the series in many ways. However, there is also nostalgia that appeals to old fans.”
In addition to Galitzine, the Masters of the Universe movie also features Alison Brie, Idris Elba, Jared Leto, Sam C. Wilson, Hafthor Bjornsson and Kojo Attah.
The film directed by Travis Knight will premiere on June 5, 2026.
