MG ZS has already made itself at home on roads all over Europe. Now a new version is presented. In addition to a much more modern design, there is a hybrid drive under the hood.
The hybrid drive in the new MG ZS Hybrid+ comes from the smaller MG3 Hybrid+ model. The system integrates a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 102 hp and an electric motor with 136 hp/250 Nm, which gives a total power of 196 hp. This combination enables acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 8.7 seconds.
The high-voltage battery of 1.83 kWh can be charged on a charger with a power of up to 45 kW, which was not common for plug-in hybrids until now.
For now, the new MG ZS Hybrid+ can be ordered in Great Britain, and the first deliveries to MG dealers in that market will begin in October 2024. There is still no information about the start of sales in other markets, including Serbia.
The new ZS Hybrid+ is available on the island in two trims: SE and Trophy, with the SE starting at £21,995 and the Trophy starting at £24,495. Converted, it is around 26,000 and 29,000 euros. Both variants have a factory warranty of 7 years/80,000 miles (about 130,000 km).
Both versions are richly equipped with full LED lighting front and rear, 12.3-inch HD infotainment screen with navigation and live services, 7-inch instrument screen, rear parking sensors with camera, automatic lights, rain sensor and contactless access.
MG Pilot, which includes a wide range of safety technologies to assist the driver, is standard on both models and includes adaptive cruise control, active braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane keeping assistance, cross traffic alert, blind spot monitoring system, warning for collision and traffic jam assistance.
For an extra £2,500 (around €3,000), the Trophy trim includes 18-inch alloy wheels, tinted rear windows, leather seats, heated front seats and a heated steering wheel, a 6-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support and a rear-view camera. of 360 degrees.
