The new Philips Hue box will immerse you in 8K of light

Signify’s HDMI Sync Play box gets a new 8K version! The device, which synchronizes Philips Hue lighting with video games, movies and other multimedia content, supports HDMI 2.1. The device is compatible with current gaming consoles, offering resolutions up to 8K with refresh rates up to 120 Hz.

Immersion in colors

Up to ten Philips Hue lights can be synchronized simultaneously for greater immersion, especially during crazy gaming or movie-watching sessions.

As Jasper Vervoort, Head of Philips Hue at Signify, explained: “ This new device allows users to enjoy an incomparable multimedia experience while reinforcing the personalization of their interior “. The Philips Hue Play 8K HDMI is already available in stores for the tidy price of €349.99.

In addition to the launch of the HDMI box, Signify also announced the arrival of new ceiling lights in the Philips Hue range. These luminaires, already available in a round format, are now available in square and rectangular versions. The Philips Hue Datura model, available this fall from €399.99, stands out for its frameless design, ideal for spaces with low ceilings. This ceiling light allows you to illuminate the room while diffusing indirect light towards the ceiling.

In addition, the Philips Hue Tento, available in several square formats (30 cm or 40 cm), will fit perfectly in spaces such as closets or garages. With a minimalist design in black or white, it is available from €69.99 for the 30 cm “White” version, up to €149.99 for the 40 cm “White and color ambiance” version. These ceiling lights, capable of producing adjustable white light or colored light, adapt to all the moods and lighting preferences of users.

Hardware is good, but software is not bad either. The Philips Hue app is enriched with new features designed to brighten up users’ lives. Four new lighting modes have been added: Cosmos, Underwater, Enchant and Sunbeam, each with a unique lighting ambiance. Now, it is possible to customize these effects by adjusting their intensity, speed or base color, allowing you to create tailor-made atmospheres for all occasions.

Signify also plans to release a major update to the app later this year, with support for multiple bridges within a single home. This feature will allow users to control lighting in multiple rooms simultaneously without having to switch between different bridges, simplifying the management of complex installations.
