Aohi is seeing huge success on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter. Powerbank campaign Starship 240W she has already collected over 75 thousand dollars, which is fifteen times the amount originally requested. And it grows every hour. So it seems that there is considerable interest among users for a powerful power bank heading to the premium segment.
It is interesting to compare it with the competing product Anker Prime, which has been sold on our market for about half a year. The Aohi Starship 240W offers very similar equipment – two USB-C ports with a maximum power of 140 W and one USB-A port with a power of 22.5 W. The total combined power can reach up to 240 W.

The power bank can boast of capacity 27 600 mAhwhich according to the manufacturer should be enough for, for example, one full charge of a MacBook Pro 16″ or about four full charges of an iPhone 16. The integrated display, which also shows the current charging power, informs about the battery status. At weight 650 grams the device remains relatively compact and portable.
The biggest attraction, however, is the price. As part of pre-orders on Kickstarter, the power bank can be obtained for $99 (about CZK 2,400)which is half the planned retail price. For comparison – the competing Anker Prime is normally sold for 3,999 CZK, now it is available as part of the Black Friday campaign for CZK 3,099 on Alza. Delivery of the first pieces of the new product is planned for January next year.
It’s not the first project
For Aohi, it’s about the sixth project on Kickstarter, which may be some guarantee of credibility. However, it should be kept in mind that crowdfunding campaigns are never guaranteed to deliver the product on time. The powerbank will only be available in selected countries including the USA, Great Britain and the Netherlands. Apparently, they will not be heading to the Czech Republic via the official route.
If you are considering buying a powerful power bank, the Aohi Starship 240W can be an interesting alternative to established brands. It offers practically the same parameters and thanks to the promotional price in pre-orders it comes out significantly cheaper. On the other hand, it will be necessary to wait for the first real tests that will show whether the power bank really lives up to all the promises.
