Il nuovo showroom Of Stone Island in Milan it finds its place among the former industrial buildings reconverted in via Tortona 31, where Benedetto Camerana Studio redevelops and transforms two mechanical workshops, reinterpreting existing geometries.
The space, which is spread over a total area of 1750 m2 on three levelsis rethought in the name of flexibilitythanks to a modular system composed of semi-transparent rectangular elements measuring 2×3.5 metres, light and easily movable. Equipped with an innovative attachment system, these modules in black painted aluminium they elevate and combine to create distinct display areas.
Nell’exhibition area main, the collection is presented according to a subdivision by color blocks, with the central area of the space also dedicated to the sub-collections Stone Island Ghost, Starlet e Marina.
The perimeter area is instead enriched by elements equipped with wheels and finished with laser-cut backdrops and then hand sanded by craftsmen. A meeting area, with tables in gray and black tones, is located at the end of the space, while two mezzanines also host a bar.
The internal and external spaces communicate thanks to a large, overlooking glass access portal two gardens with a zen atmospherecrossed by a bright atrium.
The garden on the right is an abstract void, defined by the metallic shades of the opaline polycarbonate walls and the gravel floor. The garden on the left is open towards the court municipality of Opificio 31, separated by an open sequence of full-height vertical metal blades.
A second building adjacent to the main showroom is dedicated to the collection Stone Island Junior as well as press office activities.
