The new The Brutalist trailer introduces the 3.5-hour behemoth Oscar-winning movie

The Brutalist premieres in Finland at the end of February.

A24 has released a new trailer for The Brutalist, which had its world premiere in September at the Venice Film Festival, where it won the Silver Lion, i.e. the best director award. The acclaimed film was also directed by Brady Corbet, known as an actor.

The new commercial highlights the Golden Globe success of the 215-minute long epoch.

Adrien Brody plays the main role in the film, who will very likely receive an Oscar nomination for his role. It will hardly be the only one in the movie.

The movie also stars Felicity Jones, Guy Pearce, Joe Alwyn, Raffey Cassidy, Stacy Martin, Emma Laird, Isaach De Bankolé and Alessandro Nivola.

The official synopsis for The Brutalist reads as follows:

“The highly talented architect László Toth escapes from post-war Europe to America to start rebuilding his own life and career. The marriage with his wife Erzsébet, torn apart by the border lines moved during the war and changing rulers, also needs a new beginning. László is alone in a foreign land and settles in Pennsylvania, where the wealthy and influential industrialist Harrison Lee Van Buren notices his talents. However, power and fame come at a high price.”

The Brutalist arrived in the US on the big screen already on December 20. The Finnish premiere is only on February 28.
