The next Indiana Jones game is the studio’s longest ever

Waited for December 9 on PC and Xbox (Series X/S), and for spring 2025 sur PlayStation 5, Indiana Jones & The Great Circle is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games of the end of the year. Indy’s big return to video games, 15 years after the release of the last two games with LEGO Indiana Jones 2 et Indiana Jones and the Scepter of Kings in 2009. For this new adventure, the MachineGames teams seem to have made big things and we are really looking forward to discovering this journey which promises to be relatively long !

A (long) adventure awaits us

A few days before the long-awaited release ofIndiana Jones & The Great Circletwo developers from the MachineGames teams responded to an interview on la chaîne YouTube de MinnMax. During this exchange, the two men confirmed that the lifespan of the Indiana Jones game was clearly the longest of all the games the studio had made to date. Although no figures were given, Axel Torvenius, the creative director of Great Circle said: “This is by far the biggest and longest game MachineGames has ever made.”.

MachineGames is known for making excellent games Wolfenstein : The New Order et Wolfenstein II : The New Colossustwo linear FPS that required players to between 1 and 3 p.m. to finish them 100%without rushing. For its part, the next Indiana Jones game will not be as linear and will offer several maps that can be visited in free mode to find all the secrets and puzzles. There is therefore a good chance that the lifespan of the game between 4 and 8 p.m. to finish it 100%.

Both MachineGames developers confirmed in the interview that the game has no less than 4 hours of cutscenes. Of course, if you weren’t planning to play the game 100% and you just want to discover the story in one go without taking your time, the game will probably be much shorter. As was the case for both games Wolfenstein.
