The next iPhone SE can bring a huge improvement –

New information has leaked about the next generation of Apple’s more affordable device.

It’s been more than two years since Apple launched its last budget-friendly mobile phone, the third-generation iPhone SE, which was a huge success for the people of Cupertino. In July of this year, it was already heard that the next iteration of the well-priced device is on the way, but it can only be on store shelves in January 2025 at the earliest. The other day, new information was leaked about Apple’s updated iPhone SE 4 device.

The current scraps of information can be found in the Bloomberg shared by his usually well-informed colleague Mark Gurman, who in its meaning wrote that the appearance of the new model will most closely resemble the iPhone 14. This means that with the fourth-generation SE device, Apple can finally move away from the old home button design and switch to an edge-to-edge display and Face ID identification.

As a result, the thicker bottom and top bezels also disappear from the mobile, so overall we get a larger display, which is expected to still be a 60Hz LCD panel. The more exciting – and more practical – upgrade could be a larger battery and MagSafe support, although the exact details of these are not yet known.

One of the most attractive features of the new iPhone SE is expected to be the support of the company’s own artificial intelligence, Apple Intelligence, which will facilitate the daily life of users with a wide range of generative AI functions. Of course, this will also require a newer, more powerful chip, which according to the report could be the A18 – this is also used by the iPhone 16 presented a few weeks ago.

The latest generation chip and AI functions are sure signs that a price increase is expected. According to some forecasts, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to hit the store shelves with a price tag of $499 (roughly HUF 220-240,000 including taxes), so it will still be an attractive choice for those looking for a somewhat compromised, yet reliable Apple device.
