Sometime in the next two years, Porsche will introduce the fourth-generation Cayenne, which will be all-electric. However, the German company will continue to offer the gasoline-powered Cayenne alongside the new model.
Porsche will invest in the current generation Cayenne, improving the V8 engine to make it meet future emissions regulations. It will also spend money on hybrids, offering the Cayenne three engine options globally from 2030 onwards.
The new Cayenne will be based on the PPE platform with an 800-volt architecture, which will allow it to charge with very fast fast chargers.
