The next Predator movie differs from all the previous ones in one crucial way

Predator: Badlands premieres in November next year.

Director Dan Trachtenberg says Empire– magazine about his Predator: Badlands movie, which will be seen next year, and how it differs significantly from its predecessors.

Predator himself is, if not the hero, then at least the protagonist of the movie.

“Olio is the protagonist of the film, through whose eyes the events are presented. It’s still a familiar killer villain, but the character also has a certain poignancy. It was not a very easy task to create a character that is extremely threatening, but also has a grippy surface. This has been a challenging, but really exciting project.”

Trachtenberg also explains that the idea is to do something new like in his previous Predator movie, Prey. Now the viewer is only supposed to cheer for the alien predator.

At the moment, almost nothing is known about the Predator: Badlands movie. It stars Elle Fanning and premieres on November 7, 2025.
