Prague – The Czech Republic has had a very warm night. At roughly eight meteorological stations, the temperature did not drop below 20 degrees Celsius, which is the limit for a so-called tropical night. On the X network This was reported by the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ). High temperatures will remain during the day, especially in Moravia and Silesia. But there will also be showers.

Meteorologists have previously warned that this week will be very warm. This was confirmed on Monday, with temperatures reaching over 30 degrees Celsius in many places. “Today and tomorrow the temperatures will be lower in the Czech Republic, mostly between 25 and 29 degrees, in Moravia and Silesia they will be more like around 30 degrees,” said the ČHMÚ. While the limit for a tropical night is 20 degrees Celsius, it is ten degrees higher for a tropical day.

A warning also warns of high temperatures, which applies today between 12:00 and 19:00 for the eastern half of Moravia and Silesia.

Even rain will not be avoided in the Czech Republic today. It is currently raining in the western half of Bohemia. “During the morning and forenoon, it will also spread over the rest of Bohemia, and in the afternoon, showers or thunderstorms will also begin to appear in Moravia and Silesia,” said the ČHMÚ. Even at night and during the day on Wednesday, showers will occur in places, mainly in the south-eastern part of the Czech Republic.
