Nordly Arrow Yellowstone has been proclaimed champion of the second edition of the Futsal Christmas Tournament organized by Martoleague, with the support of Club Sala 5 and Martorell Town Council. The championship, which lasted 12 hours, was attended by 14 teams and around 150 players at the Municipal Sports Hall.
One of the debutant teams in this competition, the Nordly Arrow Yellowstone, has taken the title of champion after defeating the second placed in the first edition, Boinas FC (3-1) in the final. The goalkeeper of the winning team, Xavi Álvarez, was chosen as the best player of the match.
The team from Las Panteras has been awarded the third position of the tournament, after winning the shootouts to the Pallus Team. This year, a penalty shoot-out was contested between the two teams that were defeated in the semi-final tie to decide third and fourth place.
Oriol Pla, one of the organizers of the Martoleague, makes a very positive assessment of this 12-hour Christmas Tournament, where he emphasizes that the participating teams are very happy and wishes that it will continue to be held for many years: “We know that many teams have been out because of schedules or work, but we believe that an incredible tournament has turned out. We hope to repeat it both in summer and winter”.

The format of the competition is again similar to that of the Kings League, but adapted to the rules of futsal and with some new features. In this second edition of the Christmas Tournament, the ‘Penalty President’ card has been added and the ‘Double Goal’ card has been removed. From the organization they are satisfied with the changes, which have made the tournament much more dynamic: “We have also done the group phase in Champions format, with random matches between the 14 teams, and all the participants have told us that it has liked a lot”.

As for the prizes, the first place -Nordly Arrow Yellowstone- has won a dinner at Taps i Tapes worth €300, the second -Boinas FC- a dinner at Dreams Martorell worth €200, and the third -Las Panteras – a basket worth €80 was taken from Va de Gla.
