Foreign. The vote count is in full swing after the presidential election in the United States – but if the betting platforms are to be believed, Donald Trump will emerge as the winner.
Before the election, the polls showed that there would be a tremor of a rarely seen kind.
But overnight, the vote count has given Trump the advantage, who has already taken home several important states.
Because the opinion polls have been so unclear, before this year’s election, many have looked at the odds of the major betting sites to get a picture of who will win.
On the betting platforms, the odds have now changed dramatically in Trump’s favor. On the biggest betting site in politics, Polymarket, the odds of Trump winning at the time of writing are 97 percent, and 4 percent for Kamala Harris. Similar figures are seen on other comparable sites.
Early on Monday morning Swedish time, it was clear that Donald Trump was victorious in North Carolina, the first of the important so-called wave master states to crown a winner. In about half of the states there are so far ready results.
