The Odyssey – Fine dining & sailing, a unique concept for corporate events

L’Oreal, Metaxa and Vinarte were the first brands to join the project

FINEWISE, the marketing and communication agency specialized in the segment of premium products and services, launched this summer The Odyssey, its own travel & leisure concept that combines navigation, culinary art and the discovery of local cultures, in a series of experiences that will take place wherever there are navigable waters, fine gastronomy and gorgeous places worth exploring.

The agency creates and implements positioning, marketing and communication strategies for premium brands, with an emphasis on food & beverages, hospitality, beauty & wellbeing. Launching your own lifestyle product is the natural step that crowns the experience and passion for fine living.

An event for all the senses, The Odyssey was more than just a journey, it was a multi-sensory experience that delighted the eyes, indulged the taste buds and filled the hearts of the guests with joy. In perfect harmony between spectacular nature and culinary art, The Odyssey has proven to be a successful event since its first edition.

Held in Greece, in Athens and the Saronic Islands, in two distinct tours, the first edition brought together food lovers and enthusiasts of premium sea vacations in an unforgettable adventure, offering refined culinary experiences against the backdrop of amazing seascapes.

Chef Bogdan Alexandrescu, aka Chef Dexter, the gastronomic curator of the event, impressed the guests of the Odyssey with the most refined dishes, in a menu specially designed for this edition. Chef Dexter even celebrated his birthday with the guests of The Odyssey, offering a unique dinner on the beach, in Russian Bay, where he cooked a fine dining menu of six dishes in the company of the guests who, by the end of the expedition, became friends .

Highlight-ul The Odyssey, Four Hands Signature Dinner Spirited by Metaxa

The highlight of this culinary journey was the spectacular four-course dinner hosted by Mappemonde, the fine dining restaurant of the Athens Capital Hotel. Here, guests had the privilege of experiencing the refinement and sophistication of the dishes, prepared from the freshest ingredients, the result of Chef Dexter’s carefully managed collaboration with the restaurant’s resident chef, Dimitris Boutsalis. Thus, in this Signature Dinner, The Odyssey became a meeting of two titans of gastronomy, an ode, in itself, brought to the professional and culinary journey of each taste. From the meeting of these two worlds, a unique, memorable experience resulted. Each dish prepared by the Romanian chef at the 4 hands dinner was carefully matched with the Romanian varieties from Nedeea, Vinarte Romania, completing the culinary experience.

Turul 1 – Private tour

The Odyssey pilot tour was a private one and hosted guests who enjoyed the premium experience during 4 days, starting from Athens, towards Poros, Hydra, Aegina, with return to Athens.

BDG Import supported the party spirit throughout the expedition with premium brands such as Metaxa, Martini, Bacardi, Glenfiddich and Bombay Sapphire. The signature cocktails supported the fun both on the beach and on deck.

Turul 2 – Corporate tour

In the second round, The Odyssey hosted the L’Oreal Romania event, which involved the activation of the brand through the sailing experience and 16 celebrities and content creators invited on board. Full of enthusiasm and curiosity, they captured on their pages the experience of fine traveling – the interaction with the products, the sailing expedition, the gastronomic concept and the amazing landscapes. The visits to Athens, Poros and Aegina, the stops in the bays for swimming, the beach and relaxation were all accompanied by a lot of good cheer and videos that populated social media in just a few minutes.

The concept multifacetedly addresses the corporate client segment, supporting events and premium activations such as:
