STIPS reporters recorded the prices of fruits and vegetables in markets across Serbia. Medlars appeared for the first time, and the supply of apples was better. Prices of vegetables are generally lower due to a better offer.
Fruit and vegetable prices in Kvantaš
Medlars appeared on the Quanta market in Belgrade at a price of 150 din/kg. There is less supply of grapes, while the supply of apples was better compared to the previous period. Average offer of pear and sporadic offer of strawberry and raspberry.
The offer of southern fruits was good, with lemon and banana leading the way. A decline in the prices of bananas, Ajdared apples and oranges was recorded. Unlike them, pineapple, quince, other white grapes, other black grapes, other apples, kiwi, William pear, tangerine and walnut were more expensive.
A better supply of Swiss chard, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, spinach, leeks, collard greens and lettuce led to a drop in prices. Unlike them, garlic, green beans, onions, peppers, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes and zucchini were more expensive.
Kalenić market
On the stalls of the green market Kalenić in Belgrade, the first offer of medlar was recorded at a price of 400 din/kg. Other black grapes were more expensive compared to the previous period. The offer of vegetables was solid, given that there are fewer and fewer products from the open space.
The prices of cauliflower, other peppers, radishes and spinach were lower. Paprika, cherry tomatoes and eggplant were more expensive compared to the previous period.
Prices of fruits and vegetables in Leskovac
According to the report of the STIPS reporter from Leskovac, last week the Quanta market in this city was on average filled with fruit crops, while the offer of vegetables was better. As far as prices are concerned, the prices of pineapples, other pears, tangerines, cauliflower, salad cucumbers, cabbage, bell pepper and zucchini have increased.
In contrast, banana, kiwi, orange, onion, radish, spinach and carrot were cheaper.
Market in Požarevac
The green market in Požarevac is characterized by a weaker supply of grapes, which caused the price to rise. Average offer of imported southern and domestic seasonal fruit. As for vegetables, a weaker supply of green beans, garlic, peppers and tomatoes was recorded, which led to an increase in prices.
A slightly better supply of broccoli, cauliflower, kale, swiss chard, beets and young onions influenced the price drop compared to the previous period.
