The opponent’s “dung-provoking” coach could not howl Anders Lind out of it

Dhen Anders Lind woke up on Monday morning, it wasn’t the feeling of Olympic greatness that filled his body. The stomach made strange knots, and the sweat jumped from the forehead of the 25-year-old Danish table tennis player. That’s obviously how it should be when someone like him faced his Olympic debut and a top Portuguese player with a CV that makes the young Lind look like a novice in his sport.

“Yes, I was really fucking scared. Holy shit. Terribly scared. So, when I woke up, I almost had such a constant emptiness in my stomach. And I could feel myself sweating constantly. And the heart rate was just 30-40 higher than it usually is”, said Anders Lind, when he, still sweating, but now after the match and with a big smile, lit up the area under the scaffold stands in Arena Sud 4 in Paris.
