The lack of parking space is a huge problem in cities around the world, so many drivers come up with various ways to find a free, free space. One of the more recent phenomena of rude behavior is ‘ICEing’ (Internal Combustion Engine), and it is about the drivers of cars powered by internal combustion engines who occupy the places provided for charging electric vehicles.
As it says Jutarnji.hr, just such an example comes from Athens, Greece, where the owner of a Ferrari F430 parked in a place where electric cars are charged. To fool people who might not know that it’s not an electric model (it’s powered by a naturally aspirated V8 petrol with 490 hp), the man ‘connected’ a charging cable to the rear wheel so that people think the car is being charged with electricity.
The author of the photos published in the Facebook group “E-mobility in Greece” claims that at that moment there were many other free parking spaces, but that the owner of the Ferrari apparently did it so that he would not have to pay for parking.
