The participant of the reality show admits that it is not easy with two little ones

Eva Peternelj, whom wide Slovenia met in the reality show Exatlon Slovenija, became a mother for the second time on August 1. The experience of having a baby and a 15-month-old girl at home is not easy at all.

Now her partner is still at home, but he is going back to work soon. Eva admits that she doesn’t know how she will be able to cope, but nevertheless she looks to the future with optimism. Her guiding principle is that it is best if she complicates things as little as possible. “When I first became a mother, it was very easy and without major upheavals. Ela mostly slept, but I was able to do many things during that time. But two children are a much bigger deal. Now that my partner is still at home and we share the responsibilities, he goes, but soon he is going back to work and it will be a little more complicated.”

It seems to Eva that the most important thing is to plan life. “Every Sunday I make a schedule for the week ahead of all the urgent things I need to do. I reserve two hours every day when I step back and do whatever the job requires of me. Fortunately, my work is my hobby, so it’s not difficult for me.” Eva is a young woman with a defined lifestyle, and after her first pregnancy, the kilos quickly fell off. What now? “A good month and a half after giving birth, I’m still ten kilograms extra, but I don’t worry too much about it. I have a healthy lifestyle, but I am aware that this time losing weight will not be as easy as after the first birth. The body was transformed, because I gave birth twice in less than two years. I’ll have to get a grip, and these days I’m also starting to practice. Care must be taken not to do this too soon, as the body needs time to regenerate. Otherwise, I already started walking right after giving birth. We go for a walk at least twice every day, but of course we adapt everything to the weather. I advise mothers to set a goal of how many steps they need to walk. It is also important to eat a balanced diet and eat easily digestible food, not fatty foods or hamburgers. It is also recommended that trunk activation and stretching exercises begin six weeks postpartum. The most important advice, however, is that mothers should complicate things as little as possible. Life goes very fast, yesterday Ela was a newborn, today she is one and a half years old, followed by Sia. Soon the worst will be over, moms will forget all their troubles, so now is the time to enjoy as much as possible.”
