The Playground Festival brings the Gare de Lyon forecourt to life – Brand strategy > Brands

Until August 4, the Playground Festival will offer passers-by a multitude of activities and experiences – designed with numerous brands such as Pasquier, Häagen-Dazs and Lustucru – around the Gare de Lyon.

Open seven days a week from 8am to 8pm since July 11, the Playground Festival, designed by the Globe Groupe agency and commissioned by SNCF Retail and Connexions, is set to set the forecourt of the Gare de Lyon alight until August 4. This first edition promises “feel good rendezvous for everyone, varied pop-up stores and a festive and gourmet atmosphere”as Globe Groupe indicates in a press release.

Collaborations with several brands for the various events of this festival have thus been imagined. First of all, Brioche Pasquier organizes culinary workshops and tastings, at any time of the day, of its brioches, rusks, macaroons, pancakes, as well as its Pitch. The brand has also inaugurated a pop-up store offering its various products, as well as collector’s items specially created to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

While a stand of the Häagen-Dazs ice cream brand allows passers-by to cool off, a Lustucru food truck offers them the possibility of eating and tasting the brand’s pasta recipes. “for only 5.99 euros”Finally, an Alpro stand distributes free bottles of its vegetable drinks (vanilla or chocolate flavor).

At the same time, the event organizer has joined forces with Secours populaire français to collect as many donations as possible in order to “allowing thousands of disadvantaged children to go on vacation and experience unforgettable moments”.

Several Olympic disciplines highlighted

Spread over 1,500 m2, the Playground Festival also showcases certain Olympic disciplines with the installation of a basketball court, an athletics track and ping-pong tables. In partnership with the pétanque ball brand La Mariole, the festival also offers passers-by the chance to try out the Provençal activity. For the youngest, a maze has even been installed.
